Hello!
Ok, it's true...I'm a brad-a-holic. But who can help it when they are so cute!
Today we are going to take a look at all the fabulous Eyelet Outlet brads that we carry in the store! I just have a weakness for them...they are all so cute!
........................................................................................................................
I love this stamp set for using the Eyelet Outlet patterned brads with it!
It is called Everyday Encouragements:
.......................................................................................................................
I made a little project using the Everyday Encouragements and our brads:
This little project has a lot of simple little steps in it that make it perfect to pack along to all the lessons and practices of our kids.....and we get to accomplish something! This is also a little project you and your kids can do very easily together!
I decided to create a little box card that doubled as a gift out of these brads:
This card set is EXTREMELY EASY to make!
Recipe:
Stamp set: Everyday Encouragements and Birthday Wishes
Embellishments: Ice Cream Cone brads, pink ribbon (coming June 1st)
Cardstock and Papers: Paper is from Basic Grey Bittersweet pad, Mocha Cardstock, white cardstock
Inkpads: SU Close to Cocoa
Punches: 1 1/8 inch circle, 1 1/4 inch scallop circle
Other: Clear Box 3 1/8 x 3 1/8
Card:
1. Cut your brown cs 3x6 inches, score and fold in half.
2. Cut your Bittersweet paper in 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 in squares and glue to front of card.
3. Tie ribbon around card.
4. Punch out scalloped circle in brown cs, and white 1 1/8 circle.
5. Stamp birthday blessings sentiments from Everday Encouragements on white circle.
6. Glue brown and white circles together and attach brad to the middle.
7. Attach circle over ribbon as shown.
8. Card done!
Now, I decided I need an envelope for my little 3x3 cards....I just don't like them flopping around in a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch envelope! So here is what I came up with:
Envelope:
1. Cut white cardstock 3 1/8 x 6 inches, score in middle.
2. Punch with punches as shown:
3. Tie ribbon around envelope, attach brad.
4. Envelopes done!
Now we need to put our cards in one 3 1/8 x 3 1/8 box and envelopes in another. Lay side by side to create card:
Cut a brown piece of cardstock 6x3 inches, fold in half, apply Scor-tape to the back of both sides. The fold of the inner card needs to be right at the edge of the inner fold of box:
Now create a band to go around the box as pictured above, and you have an adorable little gift!
........................................................................................................................
Here are some samples made using the Ladybug patterned brads and 1/8 black round brads with the sentiments:
These are in the little box from the tutorial above.....this box is filled with cards....this is teacher appreciation week at school, so the girl's teachers will be getting these!
These I thought would be nice to just have on hand when I needed to give someone a little thank you gift!

Candy Fosta helped me make up some samples too....look what she came up with!
She took the little poodle brads, printed a poodle shirt image off the internet, cut it out, added a paper skirt....isn't that adorable?????

Now this is clever! Making braces out of the tooth brads!

Here are a couple of samples you'll want to make note of for your favorite guy!
