Hi friends, its Katie here to welcome you to another Tutorial Tuesday. I was just at a little crafty get together last week and I received the cutest little milk carton filled with yummy goodies. As any good crafter would do, I gave the goodies to the kids and then proceeded to take a look at the carton. I changed the measurements a bit so it would be easy to measure and re-create and thought I'd share it with you.
I also really liked that it had a little tab that allowed the top to stay closed as well. The one I received was coated so you could put the goodies straight into the container, but since mine is just cardstock, I put my goodies in a baggie and then placed it into the my container. It worked like a charm.
So you will want to start out wiht a piece of cardstock measuring 7" x 10 1/2"
Next you will want to score it at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2", and 10"
Flip your cardstock and score at 1/1", 1", 2 1/2", and 5 1/2"
NOTE: I actually scoot my piece of cardstock over to the right side to score my 1/2" and 1". I can score with my right hand and hold it with my left... much easier.
Fold on all the score lines. Take a look below to see where I cut the section with the 1/2" and 1" sections.
Next onto the bottom section. Cut away the shaded area and cut on the arrows shown.
Next, you'll want to create score marks that measure 1 1/4" in each section of your 1/2" score mark. I just lined up each edge and already created score line with the 3" measurement and then scored at the 4 1/4" groove.
Next, you'll want to take a ruler and a stylus and create just a few more score marks. These don't have to be as deep as the others. Line up the point where the 1/2" score mark is with the corner of the square created with the previous score marks.
It should then look like this.
Now gently crease on these new score marks and do a dry fold (no adhesive yet).
Apply adhesive.
Start folding.
Apply a bit of adhesive on the top flap... to get rid of some of the stickiness just keep touching it with your fingers. It will be sticky enough to stay, but not sticky enough to rip the cardstock.
Now, just decorate the outside however you'd like. I just created a band. I cut strips measuring 2" x 12" and scored at the same measurements as the box ( 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2", and 10")
Here's my bag of treats.
After I placed the treats in the milk carton I place a piece of ribbon over the top.
Then close and attach a cute tag. I used images from the set Baked for you Tags and the scallop is from the newest die set - Blooming Bouquet.
Hope you like it and as always thanks for coming to visit us here at Clearly iStamp! Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Your treats look delicious and the milk carton is so cute! I will have to give it a try. Thanks for the directions.

I tried to make this as directed, but needed a tab to connect together. I think the dimensions should be 7 x 10 1/2. Thanks for sharing
