Good Tuesday Tutorial am to you. Lisa here. Shout out to Katie...Hi Katie-Kate. So what's in store for today? Friday is the release of Clear Dollar Stamps SVGs. You get a sneak peek at templates designed by Stacy Morgan.
The templates come with two types of files; SVG, cutting file for use with cutting software such as SCAL and cutting machine such as Cricuit. And PDF which is used like digis...downloaded and printed out. You hand cut out the template pieces and assemble.
Today's tutorial is showing you how to make two cards from the templates. They go great with the template box or by themselves.

This card is made using the PICNIC BASKET TEMPLATE SVG/PDF
Supplies:
Stamps/Images: Little Strawberry COLOR Digital Image (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Worn Parchment
Inks/Markers:Printer, Palette Ink Pads Ripe Olive, Hot Cocoa, Wild Ginger, Whisper White (SU)
Accents/Tools:Picnic Basket SVG/PDF (Clear Dollar Stamps), Cherry Go Round Crystal Stickers, Scotch foam tape, Large Round Corner Punch
Techniques:Faux Wood Technique, Digital, SVG
BERRY BASKET CARD

Using the PNG strawberry image from LITTLE STRAWBERRY COLOR DIGITAL IMAGE, I worked in Microsoft Publisher. First I made a text box the size of my card front, in this case 5 x5. The PNG image will overlap each other which is what you need here. So I just placed them where I wanted to look like they are sitting in a basket. I placed my sentiment, printed out and cut my card 5 x 10" and scored in the center.

Folded at the top. It makes a 5 x 5 card.

Using the SVG file from the PICNIC BASKET TEMPLATE cut out one long side of the basket using cutting software (I used Sure Cuts A Lot) and a cutting machine (I used my Cricuit Expression). If using a PDF file..just print out onto your paper and cut out. Measure 1/8" on each side to be cut off so it will measure 5" to fit on your card front.

Now we begin the Faux Wood Technique process. This is fun...I love this technique. Using the Palette Ink Pad Wild Ginger just place the ink pad directly to the paper at a little angle and pull down to the bottom using a scrap piece of paper under your basket panel.

Next, repeat this time using Palette Ink Pad Ripe Olive.

Repeat using Palette Ink Pad Hot Cocoa.

The final part is to use a white ink pad. Let your panel dry!

Round the bottom corners of the basket panel and the card base using a large round corner punch.

Apply dimensional foam tape to the back of the basket panel. This will give a dimensional look to your card. It really makes a difference.

Adhere to the card front. See how nicely those berries look showing through your basket lattice.

The final touch is placing different sizes of CHERRY GO ROUND CRYSTAL STICKERS to the top of the card. I think just finishes it off nicely.
BIRTHDAY RACE CAR CARD

This cute little race car card is made using the MINI CAR TEMPLATE SVG/PDF.
Supplies
Stamps/Images: Chuggin' Along, Cute Caboose, At The Races
Cardstock/Papers:Cottonball White, Night Eclipse, Smoke Stack, Cherry Go Round, Bee Pollen, Billowing Clouds
Inks/Markers:Memento Tuxedo Black
Accents/Tools:Mini Car Template SVG/PDF, Sure Cuts A Lot, Cricuit, Cuttlebug, Scotch Foam Tape, Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities
Techniques:SVG, Dry Embossing, Shape Card

Using the MINI CAR TEMPLATE SVG enlarge the car without the window to the size you want your car to be. Copy and paste a second exact card. Flip the second car so it is a reverse image of the first. Put the two cars top to top and weld together and cut out.

Score down the center of your card.

Fold in half.
Cut out two more car shapes exactly the same size as your card front. One from COTTONBALL WHITE CARDSTOCK and one from BEE POLLEN CARDSTOCK.

Adhere the yellow one to the white one.

Now adhere to your card front. The reason for the white car behind the yellow is so from the back you barely notice the little overlap of the top of the car.
See you barely notice it. But if it was yellow you'd definitely notice.
Now we begin decorating the card front. Cut out a car from SMOKE STACK CARDSTOCK.
Trim off the wheels.
Using a ruler and pencil, measure the size of bumper you want. I just drew a line from the left side where it starts to curve.
Cut along the line you measured.
Adhere to card front.

In your cutting software program take a large wheel from the template and enlarge it to fit the size of the tire on your card front. Copy and paste a second and cut from NIGHT ECLIPSE CARDSTOCK.
Adhere wheels to card front.

For the tail light, cut out another car (I used a small scrap) to just cut the bottom of the car.

Cut off the wheels first then cut off the the end of the left side of the bottom of the car for the tail light.

Adhere tail light to the left side.

Cut out just the bottom from COTTONBALL WHITE CARDSTOCK. (I used a small scrap). Draw a line on the right side of the car. Cut along the line.

Place the piece on the card and make a line at the top of the grey bumper.

Cut off at your mark so it looks as shown. (do not adhere to card front yet).

Use a cut out circle to draw a curved line on the white piece for the headlight.

Cut out and adhere to card front.

Using the stamp set AT THE RACES stamp the sentiment just above the grey bumper.

Stamp the checks at the bottom.(for best results stamp the grey bumper before adhering).

Just like your did the wheels...you make your window in your cutting software enlarge the window to the desired size and cut out from BILLOWING CLOUDS CARDSTOCK.

Stamp using this cute sentiment from CHUGGIN' ALONG.

Attach dimensional foam tape to the back of the window.

Adhere to card front.

Cut out wheels from NIGHT ECLIPSE CARDSTOCK using Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities and emboss. This just gives a polished look.

Adhere to wheels on card front. And cut out and emboss smaller white circles.

Stamp wheels with sentiment from CUTE CABOOSE.

Put dimensional foam tape to back of white circles.

Adhere them tot he black wheels. I like how they stand out.

For the finishing touch, stamp the racing flag by the birthday sentiment using AT THE RACES.
Voila. All done. This is just one example. Let your imagination create.
Thank you for tuning in this Tutorial Tuesday.
