MY OOPS IS YOUR GAIN. I THOUGHT TODAY WAS MY TUESDAY. OOPS. SO...YOUR HOLIDAY WEEKEND IS STILL GOING...HEE HEE....YOU GET TWO TUTORIALS TODAY. ENJOY!
Happy Tuesday Tutorial am to you. Hope your weekend was restful. The weather here was fantastic for the holiday weekend. So nice. Let me start by giving a shout out to our sweet Katie...Hi Katie-Kate. Now onto my tutorial today. Today I will show you how to make a Center Step Up Card 5x5".
Supplies Needed
STAMPS:Cupcake, Birthday Celebration
PAPER:Wild Huckleberry, Cottonball White
INK:Memento Tuxedo Black, Wild Huckleberry, Hot Cocoa, Copics YR31 Fresh Papaya, V06 Wild Huckleberry,
ACCESSORIES:Score Pal, Scotch foam tape, 1/16" hole punch, sponge, paper trimmer, bone folder, acrylic blocks
Start with your 10 x 5" piece of Wild Huckleberry Cardstock. Make a cut 1" in from the sides from 1" - 6". (I used my paper trimmer). These dimensions will make a 5 x 5" card.
(This is still the same paper...it just looks red in this picture). Place your cardstock in your scoring tool with the long side against the top edge. Score to your cut line at 1", 2", 6" on both sides.
Next, score in between your cut lines at 5" (from left side).
Fold as shown above from left to right, the first two folds are mountain folds (folded with the peak up), the third fold is a valley fold (fold with peak down) and last fold is a mountain fold. Be sure to press firmly with your bone folder for crisp folds.
Here is the front view. Now to decorate it.
Cut 4 x 3" piece of Cottonball White cardstock and adhere to front.
Stamp Cupcake individual stamp twice on Cottonball White cardstock with Memento Dye Ink Tuxedo Black.
The two cupcakes are for layering pieces for dimension. Using Copic Marker V06 (Coordinates with Wild Huckleberry cardstock and ribbon) color in the candle and sprinkles on the first cupcake image. On the second cupcake color the edge of the candle only and the three outter sprinkes plus the cupcake bottom. With Copic Marker YR31 (Coordinates with Fresh Papaya cardstock and ribbon) color in the flame and color edge of the flame on the second cupcake as well as the capcake inside at the base of the frosting.
Cut out the two cupcake images as above.
Sponge edges with Hot Cocoa Palette Ink.
Adhere dimensional foam tape to the backs of all pieces.
Adhere all layers to front of the card.
Take a 3/4"x 1" piece of Cottonball White Cardstock and stamp sentiment from BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION stamp set using WILD HUCKLEBERRY PALETTE INK PAD.
Punch a hole in the left corner of the tag with a 1/16" hole punch. Tie a bow with floss and adhere to card.
I love making these since I first tried it. I hope you like making this card as well. Thank you for tuning in.See you next Tuesday. Lisa
